The humanitarian situation in Burkina Faso has deteriorated sharply in recent months. Insecurity is growing and causing massive internal displacement, as well as particularly violent inter-communal clashes. The Government and partners are facing increased humanitarian needs of displaced populations and are attempting to respond to this humanitarian crisis of magnitude, but they lack specific experience, tools and knowledge in emergency response.
To cope with this situation and ensure an appropriate emergency response to child protection, Terre des hommes, in coordination with the Alliance's Learning and Development Working Group, is conducting an inter-agency training of trainers in Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.
- The training will take place in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, from 10-14 June 2019. The exact location will be communicated to the participants.
- The training targets a limited number of participants, who have experience in child protection and are available to replicate the training at their agency level to the minimum. It is open to national and international NGOs, members of the United Nations and government actors present in Burkina Faso.
