Selection of the “Community Based Child Protection (CBCP) In Emergencies Task Force Field Guide To Strengthening CBCP In Humanitarian Settings – Pilot Country Initiative.”

The Community Based Child Protection Task Force was looking for Child Protection Coordination Groups at sub-national level to participate in the development and piloting of a Field Guide to Strengthening Community Based Child Protection in Humanitarian Settings. The purpose is to develop an evidence-based, field driven, practical guiding document for working with communities in humanitarian settings. A total of seven applications were reviewed by the Review Committee of the project implemented with USAID/ OFDA funding through Plan International USA. A scoring matrix was used to evaluate each application. Two country applications selected were from the Child Protection Working Groups in Sudan and the Philippines. We appreciate the efforts and thank all the Coordinators for their leadership.
