Mine Risk Education Course Held in Spiez, Switzerland

After a successful pilot in 2017, a second Mine Risk Education course was organized in Spiez, Switzerland from 24 September to 03 October 2018. It was hosted by UNICEF with the support of the Swiss Government and in collaboration with Geneva International Centre for International Demining (GICHD) and other stakeholders.

During the ten-day course, 21 participants from ten international organizations and three national authorities, from DRC, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Sudan, Syria, Turkey and Vietnam strengthened their skills to design, implement, monitor and evaluate MRE programmes through the development of robust theories of change and results frameworks. All participants reported that their MRE, Results-Based Management and collaboration skills were enhanced by the course. The full training package is available here.
