The immediate objectives of the action are: 1) to strengthen target communities’ capacity to detect and prevent violence against children at family, school and community level; 2) to enhance response to and rehabilitation of victims of gender-based violence, sexual abuse and transactional sex in the target communities through strengthened comprehensive referral mechanisms and development of integrated community-based rehabilitation mechanisms; and 3) to enhance local and national integration of state and non-state child protection (CP) efforts. The action, implemented in Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Nairobi and Kisumu counties directly targeted in school children and out-of-school high-risk children, including children with disabilities at all levels of the action, parents and caregivers, teachers, members of Area Advisory Councils (AACs), Primary Schools, members of Boards of Management (BoM), police & Child Protection Unit (CPU) personnel, safe house personnel, Beach Management Unit (BMU) personnel.  Alliance Materials
