Bosnia and Herzegovina: Child Protection Project Coordinator
As a member of the program operations team, the Child Protection Project Coordinator (CPPC), in his/her capacity, is responsible for project planning and budgeting with a number of partner organisations/institutions, preparation of detailed project implementation plans, planning and initiation of project related procurement and payments, timely implementation of project activities in cooperation with partners and different stakeholders, support to partners to implement their plans and budgets to achieve the results, regular field visits to partners, organisation and facilitation of various capacity building programmes for partners/targeted institutions in the project, monitoring of project activities and preparation of high-quality reports as per SC and donor requirements,
In order to be successful, you will bring/have:
- University degree in a relevant field
- A good understanding of the child protection issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries of the region, with special emphasis on issues faced by vulnerable children and issues related to violence against children, sexual abuse and exploitation (including in the online world).
- Working knowledge of the program priorities of the Country Office and current reform processes in areas of relevance to child protection issues.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of project cycle management experience in an NGO or IGO environment with a proven history of delivering results, preferably on child protection projects/programs.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in child rights, child protection, violence against children (including online violence), community/youth development and mobilization.
- Experience working with at-risk children and families and various stakeholders from the child protection and education sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina and/or the region.
- Experience in working with and coordinating the work of external partners and consultants.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability and willingness to travel within the country and the region.
- Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children's aims, values and principles, including a rights-based approach.
