Türkiye: Child Protection & MHPSS Coordinator - Hatay
Under the supervision of the CP & MHPSS PM and with technical support from the MHPSS Technical Advisor/Specialist, the CP & MHPSS Coordinator will manage and drive cross-sectorial integration of community-level child protection (CP) and MHPSS programming in the earthquake response through direct and partner-led delivery. The CP & MHPSS Coordinator will drive high quality, effective and efficient implementation and delivery of integrated CP and MHPSS interventions and services. They will be responsible for effective coordination and collaboration across the field teams (including case management), with implementing partners and other relevant counterparts. This role includes a strong focus on staff well-being.
The CP & MHPSS Coordinator will work closely with the Case Management Coordinator, and is expected to lead on local representation and coordination, contribute to fundraising, project planning and design, support CP & MHPSS assessments, as well as manage recruitment and procurement. The post holder is expected to assess, monitor and document gaps in existing services and innovate ways to strengthen systems, sustainability and resilience.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
Essential:
- University degree in sociology, child development, psychology, counseling and social work
- 5 years progressively advanced management experience in child protection/MHPSS including at least experience in emergencies setting.
- Substantial experience in all aspects of project management within the NGO development sector including working in partnership with local NGOs.
- Proven experience in financial management and administration.
- Proven ability to work in culturally diverse and challenging environments including first hand emergencies response.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and team management skills.
- Proficient in MS Excel , MS Word, Outlook
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including team leading and influencing.
- Demonstrated commitment to development of staff and partners.
- Excellent written and oral communication in Turkish and English; Arabic or Kurdish an asset.
- Able to work and take decisions independently as well as in a multi-cultural team to ensure timely and high quality results.
- Capacity and willingness to be flexible in difficult working circumstances.
- Awareness of staff-wellbeing and self-care principles and motivation to take on a management role.
- Experience with refugee/marginalized communities desired.
- Commitment to and understanding of child right, Save the Children values and Child Safeguarding
Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
