Join Us at the 6th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour
If you’re attending the 6th Global Conference on the Elimination of Child Labour in Marrakesh, Morocco, the Alliance invites you to connect with us in person during the Conference — by joining our interactive session, visiting us at the Innovation Fair, and engaging with us during a thematic panel discussion.
Across these engagements, the Alliance will highlight the importance of addressing child labour as a child protection concern, particularly in humanitarian and fragile contexts where conflict, displacement, climate shocks, and economic stress heighten risks for children.
1. Attend Our Interactive Session | Applying the Child Labour Toolkit in Humanitarian Contexts
Conference participants are invited to join the Alliance for a participatory, in-person session focused on applying practical tools to prevent and respond to child labour in humanitarian settings.
Session Details:
- Date: 12 February 202
- Time: 16:30–18:30
- Details: https://6thchildlabourconf.org/en/sessions/toolkit-on-child-labour-in-humanitarian-action/
This interactive session will introduce selected components of the Alliance’s Child Labour Toolkit and support participants in applying them to realistic humanitarian scenarios. Through small-group exercises and facilitated discussion, participants will explore how child labour risks manifest during emergencies and how tools can be adapted across national, organisational, and coordination contexts.
The session is designed for conference attendees working across child protection, humanitarian response, labour, development, and policy, and emphasises peer learning and practical take-aways.
2. Participate in a Thematic Panel | Impact of Child Labour on Mental Health
The Alliance will also participate in a thematic panel discussion exploring the links between child labour, mental health, and child protection.
Panel Details:
- Date: 12 February 2026
- Time: 11:15–13:00
- Details: https://6thchildlabourconf.org/en/sessions/impact-of-child-labour-on-mental-health/
This thematic panel will create space for reflection, exchange, and capacity-building around the mental health dimensions of child labour, highlighting the need to better integrate mental health and psychosocial support into child labour prevention and response efforts. The discussion aims to promote more holistic, child-centred approaches that strengthen links between mental health, child protection, and child labour programming.
3. Visit Us at the Innovation Fair | 11 February from 14:00 - 18:30 CET
Conference attendees are also invited to stop by the Alliance booth at the Innovation Fair, a dedicated space within the Conference programme for direct exchange, collaboration, and learning.
At the Alliance booth, you can:
- Learn more about the Child Labour Toolkit and its application in humanitarian contexts
- Discuss challenges and opportunities with Alliance members and partners
- Exchange ideas on strengthening links between child protection systems and child labour responses
- The Innovation Fair provides an informal setting to connect with peers and explore practical, adaptable solutions showcased during the Conference.
Let’s Connect in Marrakesh!
Whether you join our interactive session, attend the thematic panel, visit us at the Innovation Fair, or all three, we look forward to engaging with you during the Conference to exchange experiences, deepen collaboration, and strengthen collective efforts to protect children from child labour in humanitarian contexts.
