In response to challenges posed to parents and caregivers of children in the Eastern Mediterranean/ Middle East and North Africa (EM/MENA) region, a Steering Committee of regional partners that includes WHO EM and UNICEF MENA Regional Offices,  the Arab Network for Early Childhood Development (ANECD) as well as several multi-sectoral partners cordially invite you to a regional virtual meeting on parenting. The aim is to foster the development and scaling of national evidence-based parenting support policies, programmes and platforms that promote enabling environments for health and wellbeing of children and adolescents in the region.  

The organization of this regional meeting is supported by the Global Initiative to Support Parents(link is external) (GISP). GISP was initiated by  UNICEF(link is external), the World Health Organization(link is external) (WHO),  Parenting for Lifelong Health(link is external) at the University of Oxford, the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN(link is external) (ECDAN), and the Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children(link is external), and regional early child development networks, such as the Arab Network for Early Childhood (ANECD) (link is external)Global Initiative to Support Parents(link is external)  works with governments, civil society partners, researchers and donors to promote universal access to parenting and caregiver support so that every child can receive the support they need during the first two decades of life and across the life course.
