Social-Emotional Learning Intervention

This manual supports managers to train social-emotional learning leaders and facilitators to deliver the social-emotional learning (SEL) intervention.

The first part of the SEL Trainer’s Manual provides you, the trainer, with information to understand the social-emotional learning content and to train SEL facilitators on how to deliver it. It is divided into three sections:

1. Background Information – This section provides information about the concept of SEL and why it is important to achieve the outcomes of the SHLS Toolkit.
2. Understanding the Tools – This section provides information about the structure and content of SEL training and instructional tools.
3. Delivering the SEL Training – This section provides guidance on how to prepare for and deliver the training with fidelity.
