To give a small snapshot of what is in store at this year's Annual Meeting:
The meeting will take place over three days from the 4th - 6th of June, with simultaneous English and Spanish interpretation provided for all sessions. On Monday, June 3rd, we will also hold a Pre-Meeting for invited participants only, hosted by the Regional Child Protection in Humanitarian Action Sub-Group. However, from 16:00 - 18:00 local time, we invite all interested participants to join us for a special interactive session on the Alliance for CPHA, including how to engage as a member.
The meeting will be live streamed each day between 8:00/8:30 - 11:00/11:30 local time. These select sessions during the Annual Meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook in both English and Spanish, for ease of viewing. Make sure to review the Schedule Overview to see when we will be going live. This Schedule Overview will be updated with specific sessions and their live stream platform by the 27th of May.
The first half of the Opening Day will focus on the meeting theme of protecting children in escalating conflict and crises, at both the global and regional level. Ensure you review the Background Paper, which provides a background for the meeting and a set of questions for participants to consider as they prepare for, participate in, and take action following the meeting.
This year we received 91 abstract submissions. 43 of these were selected from international and local/national NGOs, UN agencies, other networks, coordination bodies, and universities and research institutions. Ensure you review the Session Booklet to find out what each session has in store!
A selection of sessions will be led by our Working Groups, Task Forces and Initiatives to showcase their work and engage you in discussion about their areas of focus and plans.
If you have any questions regarding the meeting, please contact us at: annualmeeting2024@alliancecpha.org.
We look forward to welcoming you in Panama City in less than two weeks!
