Türkiye: Child Protection Consultant
“Hurras” is a Non-governmental Organization specializing in child care and protection, and it works on preventing any case of violence, abuse, and exploitation cases, that children are exposed to in all environments; by acting against these cases and eliminating them through several events, such as education, rights, protection, training, and psychological support.
Purpose of the Position:
Providing technical support and developing procedures related to child protection matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop the HRS child protection strategy further and lead its implementation.
- Maintain an overview of existing child protection activities at all levels and network them to identify overlaps and leverage synergies.
- Independently supervise cross-functional programs covering a wide range of child protection-related topics and monitor the progress of ongoing projects.
- Regularly report on the progress of the organization’s child protection efforts.
- Prepare TOC presentations as well as strategic explanations related to child protection.
- Serve as an internal consultant/sparring partner on child protection-related issues.
- Be the focal point for third parties involved in HRS child protection actions (e.g. CPHA, CPAoR, SRH, etc.).
- Participate in compiling and publishing HRS child protection reports, including related correspondence.
- Representation of HRS in events on the subject of child protection.
- Communicate and report HRS child protection efforts to stakeholders
Required Work Experience and Qualifications:
- University degree in psychology, or any related field.
- 10 years at least of relevant work experience in a related field.
- Previous experience working for NGOs is preferred.
Required Skills :
- Excellent English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent report writing skills.
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel..etc).
- Strong communication, organizing, and coordination skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good critical thinking skills.
- Ability to train and manage team capacity building.
- Ability to Collaboration and Good relationship-building skills.
