The Opportunity:
Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Child Protection Advisor, Information Management for Case Management in Centre - London, UK or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office worldwide
Role Purpose:
This role is an exciting opportunity for a child protection professional to lead Save the Children’s work on information management for case management in humanitarian contexts and represent Save the Children in inter-agency fora and partnerships.
Specifically, the post holder will be accountable for:
- Overseeing and supporting all aspects of IM4CM in Save the Chidlren’s child protection case management work and coordinating and building the capacity of regional and national IM4CM focal points;
- Co-leading the Case Management Task Force (CMTF) under the Alliance for Child Protection in humanitarian Action (the Alliance) with a specific focus on IM4CM, M&E, support to national co-leadership and other areas as required;
- Maintaining our active engagement in partnership around CPIMS+ by representing Save the Children in the CPIMS+ Steering Committee and advocating to expand our strategic support for CPIMS+ in development contexts.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Essential:
- Significant professional experience, with a combination of direct service delivery and management of child protection case management programs in humanitarian contexts, in line with inter-agency minimum standards and guidelines. Familiarity with broader Child Protection in Emergencies (CPiE) programming and interventions an asset.
- Experience of using the CPIMS+ to support case management in humanitarian crises.
- Experience of inter-agency coordination at response, national, regional and/or global level.
- Strong facilitation and organisational skills.
- Proven experience with information management for case management, data collection, monitoring, analysis, and evaluations within CPiE programming.
- Strong experience and skills in capacity strengthening, coaching and mentoring staff.
- Minimum of 5 years senior management experience driving results and impact, while fostering a supportive and positive work environment.
- Energy and drive to create change, while constantly adapting approaches and applying enterprise-driven thinking.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Commitment to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive technical team of IM4CM practitioners in humanitarian crises.
- Flexibility, diplomacy, leadership, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well both alone and in teams, often in very difficult operating contexts.
- Fluent spoken and written English and an additional language, preferably French, Arabic or Spanish.
Desirable:
- Additional languages, particularly French, Spanish and/or Arabic.
We can offer circa £43,000 per annum (If based in UK) with an option of flexible working hours. If the role is based outside of the UK, National T&C (including pay) will apply.
This role can be based in London or any existing Save the Children International Regional or Country office location on approval, provided the successful candidate has proof of eligibility to work from the preferred location.
