Updated Primary Prevention Learning Package Now Available - 2026 Edition

The Alliance is pleased to share the updated edition of the Primary Prevention Learning Package—a key resource to support practitioners in strengthening prevention programming across humanitarian contexts.

This updated package aligns with the revised Primary Prevention Framework and reflects lessons learned from recent field applications. It provides an accessible introduction to prevention in child protection in humanitarian action (CPHA), along with practical guidance to support implementation.

The learning package is designed to build foundational knowledge and support practitioners to:

• Define and understand prevention in CPHA
• Apply key guiding principles for effective prevention programming
• Integrate prevention across the programme management cycle
• Identify challenges and opportunities for prevention in humanitarian settings

With adaptable training materials and facilitation guidance, the package can be used in both in-person and remote learning settings, making it suitable for diverse operational contexts.
