Who: Simon Hills and Silvia Oñate from the Child Labour Task Force and Hayat Osseiran, Senior Child Labour Expert MENA region
What:
The 2022 World Day Against Child Labour is June Sunday 12th, 2022 with the theme of Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour. On June 13th the Alliance is organising two events to allow CPHA practitioners to engage directly with the Child Labour Task Force experts. The events will take place at two different times during the day to cater for different audiences and time zones around the globe. If questions are posed in languages different of those of the contributors, these will be followed upon seeking support within the CLTF and L&D WG memberships.
During these two one-hour time slots Child Labour experts from the Alliance will be available to answer any burning question on Child Labour programming in humanitarian action through the discussion and comments function on the CPHA community of practice.
This is the first in a series of “Ask the Alliance and Friends” we would like to host on the CPHA Community of Practice and learnings will be used to improve and organise a series of events.
Objective:
The virtual event’s main aim is to promote child labour programming in humanitarian action and create a permanent exchange/discussion/collaboration on good practices and challenges.
Secondary aims include:
- Encourage new members to join the platform
- Allow field practitioners direct contact with global level colleagues
- Test “Ask the Alliance and Friends” format
We hope you can join on us online for this special conversation!
