Iraq: Protection from Violence Programme Development Manager
NRC Iraq is looking for a Protection from Violence Programme Development Manager to join the mission. The role holder will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the Protection from Violence programme.
What You Will Do:
- Develop Protection from Violence Core Competency (CC) strategy, technical SOPs / guidelines and Macro LFAs.
- Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, Protection from Violence CC tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Responsible of development and manage funding proposal, project budgets and donor reports
- Overall management of project staff.
- Coordinate and manage Protection from Violence CC project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements.
- Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills.
- Liaison and collaborate with relevant local and national authorities and stakeholders and represent NRC in relevant forums/cluster/working groups.
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy

What You Will Bring:
- Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context.
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Technical protection from violence CC expertise.
- Knowledge and skills in market analysis, cash-based interventions, and market-based programmes.
- Experience managing a complex protection programme including implementation, programme development, fundraising and budget development.
- Excellent understanding of key technical standards (IASC, protection mainstreaming, IHL, gender and humanitarian principles, donor markers on gender and disability etc.) and a demonstrated ability to integrate them into programming.
- Understanding of and experience working within the IASC humanitarian architecture/UNHCR led refugee response coordination model.
- Knowledge of the context in Iraq.
- Specific expertise in general protection case management. Expertise in GBV and/or child protection case management is also an asset.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Travel: Approximately 40% within areas of operation within Iraq
- Contract Duration: 12 months
