New Advocacy Resource Hub: Strengthening Advocacy for Children in Humanitarian Settings

The Alliance is pleased to launch the new Child Protection in Humanitarian Action Advocacy Resource Hub, available in English, French, Spanish, and Arabic.

Across humanitarian contexts, children are facing escalating protection risks as conflict, displacement, climate-related disasters and other crises intensify. At the same time, humanitarian funding cuts and a changing humanitarian architecture are placing increasing pressure on the services and systems designed to protect them. Against this backdrop, strong, evidence-informed advocacy for children and their protection is more important than ever.

The new Advocacy Resource Hub provides a central, practical reference point for practitioners, advocates and decision-makers, bringing together current evidence and analysis alongside resources that can support informed advocacy and action.

What can you find in the Hub?

The Hub provides access to:

• Current data and trends on children affected by humanitarian crises;
• Evidence on key child protection risks, including dangers and injuries, family separation, recruitment of children, SGBV, MHPSS, and child labour;
• Analysis of the changing humanitarian architecture, including the implications of humanitarian funding cuts and system contraction for children and child protection services;
• Practical advocacy tools, key messages, and statements to support advocacy across different humanitarian contexts; and
• Key Alliance resources, including the Unprotected series, evidence for advocacy, resources responding to the humanitarian funding crisis, and humanitarian diplomacy resources.

Designed as a resource that advocates can return to, the Hub can support the development of advocacy messages, briefs, presentations, donor engagement, policy discussions and communications aimed at keeping children and their protection at the centre of humanitarian action.
