CPHA-EiE Desk Review Template

The purpose of a desk review is to compile existing data in a user-friendly format. It usually includes data from (no more that 5 years) before the crisis as well as post-crisis data. Ideally a desk review should be undertaken during the preparedness phase and supplemented with new information after a crisis has happened. If no desk review has been carried out prior to the emergency, it should be done as a first step before any data collection is planned. This template and the guidance in each section, is adapted from the global CPHA Desk Review template, first developed by the global Child Protection Working Group (now CP AoR) and the global EiE Desk Review template, developed by the Global Education Cluster.

The text boxes at the beginning of each chapter contain guidance on how to complete the sections. Remove all grey text boxes once the desk review has been completed, before publishing the report.
