The Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action is organising the 2025 Annual Meeting for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action over a virtual platform between 2 - 13 June 2025 (dates TBC). This year's meeting will focus on the crucial theme: "Protection of Children from the Ground Up - Enhancing Localised Approaches in Conflict and Crises.” The Annual Meeting will be conducted in English, with simultaneous interpretation services available in Arabic, French, and Spanish for select sessions to ensure a seamless experience for all participants.

In response to insights from 200+ members and key stakeholders, this year's theme enables a focus on locally-led child protection prevention and response actions, actions that are driven and informed by children and their communities, and contextualised approaches that work with local systems. It will extend a focus on localisation and local actors, to include the agency and meaningful participation of children, families and communities, and the role of international and local actors in facilitating this. As well as grounding these considerations in the realities of humanitarian action, and its evolving nature. Therefore, this meeting will explore the measures that can be taken from the ground-up to address these gaps to prevent and respond to harm to children.
