The Alliance

If you’re attending the Second Global Ministerial Conference on Ending Violence Against Children in Manila, Philippines, the Alliance invites you to connect with us during the Conference through two dedicated sessions focused on protecting children in humanitarian and climate crises.

Throughout the Conference, the Alliance will engage with governments, partners, and other stakeholders to advocate for stronger commitments to protect children affected by conflict, displacement, climate shocks, and disasters. Our engagement will focus on ensuring that children in humanitarian settings are central to global efforts to end violence against children, including through stronger child protection systems, investment in prevention, and sustained funding.

Explore Our Humanitarian and Climate Thematic Brief
Ahead of the Conference, the Alliance and partners have developed a Humanitarian and Climate Thematic Brief, outlining the urgent need to ensure children affected by crises are central to global commitments to end violence against children.

The brief brings together the latest evidence on violence against children in conflict, displacement, and climate-affected settings, alongside practical recommendations for strengthening child protection systems and investing in prevention.

It also outlines five headline pledges for Manila, with suggested indicators and concrete examples of commitments that governments, donors, and humanitarian and development partners can make to better protect children before, during, and after crises.
