Recommendations | Enhancing Collaboration between Child Protection and Food Security Actors
On October 31st, the Alliance, alongside the Global Child Protection Area of Responsibility, the Global Food Security Cluster and Plan International, organized a global online event to spotlight how food security impacts children and their protection in humanitarian contexts and recommendations for urgent collaborative action.
Before the event, the organising partners created a series of recommendations to child protection and food security actors, humanitarian coordinators and country teams and donors - these have developed by child protection and food security actors for urgent action on preventing and addressing protection risks and harm in food insecure contexts and are available in English, French, Arabic and Spanish.

The consolidated presentation, which includes a summary of the evidence review findings on linkages between child protection and food security, the situation for children in Somalia from a child protection, food security and nutrition perspective as well as examples from Myanmar and Egypt on how collaboration between child protection and food security actors can enhance outcomes for children.
