Türkiye: Child Protection and MHPSS Program Manager - Hatay

The Opportunity: 

The Child Protection and MHPSS (CP & MHPSS) Program Manager is responsible for the overall management of SC Child Protection and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support programs in the Hatay area office. S/he will take responsibility for implementation of high quality, effective and efficient integrated CP and MHPSS response. S/he will be responsible to coordinate effectively with the implementing partners, technical sectoral specialists, operations teams to ensure strong communication and timely flow of work. S/he will ensure that SC CP & MHPSS interventions adhere to interagency global and regional CP and MHPSS standards/guidelines. In addition, s/he will oversee regular, high-quality monitoring and reporting of the program and support utilization of data and program feedback to improve and shape program.

The Child Protection & MHPSS Program Manager will be also expected to lead on representation, project planning, coordination, and support fundraising, recruitment and procurement. Together with the CP & MHPSS team, the post holder is expected to assess, monitor and document gaps in existing services and innovate ways to strengthen the child protection system.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in child protection and/or MHPSS programmes or related field
  • Strong technical understanding of child protection, MHPSS, child and adolescent participation and community=level approaches
  • Ability to identify the gaps in child protection and MHPSS in the given context to inform a holistic response for children.
  • Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
  • Demonstrable experience in project management with good planning and strategy development skills
  • Experience in managing and working with a team and the ability to manage and motivate staff, particularly in high-pressure environments; commitment to staff care
  • Experience in designing and facilitating training and capacity building
  • Experience in building relationships, fostering interagency coordination and experience of representing an organisation to external stakeholders.
  • Strong self-starter, able to take initiative, manage programmes and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience of working in an insecure environment and willingness to be flexible
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Turkish and English; Arabic an asset
  • Commitment to upholding Save the Children's Child Safeguarding Policy, as well as principles of do no harm and confidentiality.
  • A strong understanding of, and experience in applying, inter-agency standards and guidelines in child protection and MHPSS
  • Proficient technology and computer skills, including the use of Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint

Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
