Maram Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in Turkey. Maram is dedicated to providing assistance to refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) since the beginning of the Syrian Crisis in 2011.
MF works to provide assistance to the lives of people affected by armed conflict and other situations of violence. We aim to provide cross-sectoral collaborative and sustainable initiatives that bridge humanitarian assistance and development according to the needs of communities living inside and outside Syria.
Job Summary:
The CP Facilitator provides support to children and families in need of child protection services, including case management, referral services, and community outreach. The key responsibilities include ensuring that the best interests of children are upheld, promoting child rights, and providing support to vulnerable children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct child protection assessments to identify the needs of children and families at risk of abuse, exploitation, neglect, and violence.
- Develop and implement individualized case management plans for children and families in need.
- Provide counseling and psychosocial support to children and families affected by child protection issues.
- Facilitate child protection awareness-raising sessions for communities, including children, parents, and caregivers.
- Provide support to community structures, such as child protection committees or child-friendly spaces.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all case management and child protection activities.
- Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the job.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in social work, psychology, child development, or related field.
- Proven experience in providing child protection services in a humanitarian or social welfare context.
- Solid knowledge of child protection policies and protocols, including case management and referral systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities, including children and vulnerable families.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Office.
