The Global Case Management Working Group, in collaboration with the Alliance the Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR), is pleased to offer a training opportunity to pilot the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Toolkit for Child Protection Case Management in Humanitarian Settings. Please note this training will be French.

The M&E Toolkit training will take place in Dakar, Senegal, dates to be determined. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the training has been postponed until further notice. However, we encourage interested colleagues to submit their applications before the deadline. Your application will remain valid, and we will notify all applicants once the new dates are confirmed.

This opportunity is intended for members of national inter-agency child protection coordination teams (e.g., coordinators, co-coordinators, and information management officers), case management working group coordination officers, child protection case management advisors/specialists, or child protection-focused monitoring and evaluation experts who can lead the integration of the comprehensive framework into national response plans.

This inter-agency training will include:

  • Preparatory reading before training
  • A 3-day face-to-face training course
  • Designing action plans to integrate the framework into national response plans

Through this training, participants will learn how to promote and integrate M&E into their case management practices in humanitarian response, thereby improving the quality and impact of programs. The overall objective is to standardize reporting indicators for child protection case management responses, in order to better analyze data globally and use this data more effectively.

We strongly encourage participants from local and national NGOs to apply.

The following costs will be covered for selected applicants from local and national NGOs:

  • Plane ticket
  • Transportation from/to the airport in Dakar
  • Accommodation, including breakfast
  • Per diem
  • Visa fees

The deadline to apply for the training is February 9, 2025.

To Apply:

  • Interested candidates should apply via this Google Form(link is external) (including their supervisor/manager's contact details).
  • Ensure coordination through the Child Protection Responsibility Area (CP AoR) for candidates from the same response.

We encourage 3 applications per country, with at least one from a national NGO (where possible, we can have up to 4 representatives per country if necessary).
