Appropriate documentation by caseworkers is essential for effective and accountable child protection case management. The Case Management Forms — updated in 2024 — support consistent, ethical, and informed practice across humanitarian contexts.

Each short video in this playlist explains the purpose, timing, and key steps for completing one of the forms — from Consent and Assessment through to Case Planning, Review, and Closure, as well as specialized forms for Referrals, Case Conferences, UASC, and Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR).

These forms help to:

  • Facilitate quality casework and supervision at each stage of the case management process.
  • Standardise data collection and strengthen coordination between service providers.
  • Support analysis and learning to inform programmes, advocacy, and policy.

Start with the Introductory Videos for an overview of how to access and use the forms, then explore each section to build your knowledge and confidence.
