New E-Course: Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and Child Protection
A new self-paced e-course on Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) and Child Protection is now available on Kaya.
Developed by the Cash and Child Protection Task Force, this course explores how CVA can be used not only to meet basic needs, but also to strengthen child protection outcomes for children affected by crises.
As CVA becomes an increasingly central modality in humanitarian response, ensuring that programmes are designed and implemented through a child protection lens is essential. This course provides practical guidance to support integrated, risk-informed, and child-sensitive programming.
What the Course Covers:
Across four modules, participants will explore:
- Key concepts and guiding principles for integrating CVA and child protection.
- Conducting needs assessments and response analysis from a protection perspective.
- Designing and implementing child-sensitive CVA programmes.
- Risk mitigation, safeguarding, accountability, and meaningful engagement with children and adolescents throughout the programme cycle.
The course is designed for child protection practitioners, cash and market-based programming specialists, and humanitarian professionals seeking to strengthen programme quality and protection outcomes in crisis settings.
The course is free, self-paced, and available online via Kaya: https://kayaconnect.org/course/view.php?id=13009
