The L&D Working Group is sharing NEW resources to better equip CPHA practitioners to adapt child protection programming in the context of COVID-19 and other IDOs.

What are the new resources?

Delivering Training Remotely

The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed to support CPHA practitioners to prepare for and deliver training remotely.

Transitioning to Remote Case Management during COVID-19

The aim of the module is to prepare case workers to safely transition to remote case management service delivery in the context of COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for coordinators, managers and technical advisors for case management programs.

Case Management Via Phone

The aim of the module is to prepare case workers to safely deliver case management services via phone, when necessary, in the context of COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks (IDOs). The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for frontline caseworkers, social workers and supervisors.

Children Associated with Armed Forces and Armed Groups (CAAFAG): Program Continuity During COVID-19

The aim of the module is to introduce the key steps of promoting program design and continuity for CAAFAG during COVID-19. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for CPHA practitioners in management and coordination roles who are responsible for planning and program continuity during COVID-19.

Children Associated with Armed Forces and Armed Groups (CAAFAG) and COVID-19

The aim of the module is to introduce key approaches and processes in remote CAAFAG programming during COVID-19 and other IDOs. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for CPHA practitioners, officers and managers/coordinators involved in programming for CAAFAG.

Supporting Children, Families, and Communities During COVID-19

The aim of the module is to enhance the knowledge and skills of community volunteers to support the protection and well-being of children in COVID-19 and other infectious disease outbreaks (IDOs) at the community level. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for community volunteers who support basic child protection.

Preventing Family Separation During COVID-19

The aim of the module is to equip child protection staff to prevent and respond to family separation during quarantine, isolation and treatment, in coordination with health actors. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for child protection staff working at the field level.

Child Protection Mainstreaming in Health Facilities During COVID-19

The aim of the module is to introduce key considerations for health partners to preserve family unity  and prevent separation of children and caregivers in health facilities during COVID-19 and other IDOs. The learning module, which includes a facilitator guide and PowerPoint, is designed for CPHA to deliver to health partners.
