Türkiye: Child Protection Program Officer (Nationals only)
“Hurras” is a Non-governmental Organization specializing in childcare and child protection, working to prevent all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation that children may encounter in various environments by acting against and eliminating these cases through several activities such as education, rights Advocacy, protection, training, and psychological support.
Purpose of the Position:
To supervise the executive aspect of the network’s projects in cooperation with the field team and working to achieve all the required deliverables of the donors in cooperation with the program manager and other concerned departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively attend the coordination parties' meetings, display the outputs of the organization's work, and prepare letters to explain the obstacles related to responding and advocacy to fill the gaps in the response.
- Being aware of the studies and research related to the response in addition to the response plans released by the international parties and coordination platforms and the available funding opportunities.
- Contribute to building relationships with current partners and potential ones.
- Follow up the capacity-building plan to understand the technical activities of the network.
- Prepare and write project proposals.
- Prepare final projects' budgets, including the narrative of the budget lines.
- Preparing the required HR list for the projects with the loaded/allocated percentage for every staff member.
- Prepare a timeline plan for the Projects, including the narrative of each phase.
- Implement the needs assessment and follow-up on preparing the market surveys related to pricing the requirements of activities.
- Prepare and develop forms, templates, checklists, and other tools related to implementing the project activities.
- Explain the project work plan and the response for those concerned with the activities, hold periodic sessions to update the information of the work team, and provide them with the required technical support.
- Follow up on project activities "procurement- payments - HR - technical meetings - meetings with the partners /donors - implementation of activities."
- Follow up on submitting reports "monthly reports -weekly updates - systems report - emergency reports - financial reports -Protection reports - data reports" on time.
- Effectively Participate in donors' meetings regarding explaining the response activities.
- Prepare case studies, success stories, and lessons learned related to the implementation of the activities of the projects.
- Monitor the exchange rates, comparing them with the implemented activities and ensuring they are compatible with the project payments.
- Manage the project closing file, including the delivery of activities, and submitting final reports, manage the resource file at the end of the project, manage the overspending, and underspending in budgets, and shift human resources to new projects.
Required Work Experience and Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration or any other related field.
- Two years of relevant work experience in a related field providing the applicant has a Business Administration degree, or five years of relevant work experience in case the applicant has no Business Administration degree.
- Previous experience working for NGOs is preferred.
- Extensive experience and background in the field of child protection.
Required Competencies, Skills, and Requirements:
- Fluency in both Arabic and English languages (Written, Spoken, Reading).
- Strong skills in writing Protection project proposals.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Effective communication, organizing, and coordination skills.
- Robust analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Turkish Citizenship
